The charitable footprint of Vitorino Eguren in the world of wine
Eguren Ugarte, a Spanish winery, has launched an annual social commitment project titled '12 Months, 12 Wines, 12 Causes - The Causes of Vitorino Eguren.' In honor of Vitorino Eguren, this project merges the passion for oenology with social commitment, allocating a percentage of the sales of a selected wine to a specific charitable cause each month. The project began in January with the selection of the wine 50's 2017, a pure Tempranillo with notes of ripe fruit and toasted oak, to support the cause of Butterfly Skin. Additionally, Eguren Ugarte organized an event called 'solidarity vermouth' to raise awareness of this cause and other social issues. This initiative underscores the growing role of social responsibility in the wine industry. By combining the sale of quality wines with support for charitable causes, Eguren Ugarte is establishing a model for other wineries, showing how the wine sector can positively contribute to society. This approach also resonates with current consumers, who increasingly value brands that demonstrate a genuine commitment to social and environmental issues.
